Mehdi El-Amine

Fitness Coach & Founder, TrainScript

I've been coaching athletes since 2010 — first as an individual trainer, then as a CrossFit gym owner from 2017. Over that time I've written thousands of training programs, coached hundreds of athletes, and spent more hours than I'd like to admit on spreadsheets, check-in responses, and programming templates.

A few years ago I started experimenting with AI tools to handle the repetitive side of coaching — the parts that take time but don't actually require a human. I quickly realized that the tools weren't the problem. Getting useful output required a consistent method. So I built one: the SCRIPT framework.

TrainScript started as my own system for using AI effectively as a coach. When I shared it with other coaches, the response was immediate. Today over 500 coaches use it to cut programming time by 50–70% and reclaim hours they used to spend on admin.

I also run TrainPerennial — training programs for athletes who want to keep training hard for the long term.

Why I Built TrainScript

Most AI tools give coaches generic output because they get generic input. A prompt like "write me a 4-week training program" produces exactly what you'd expect — something technically correct but completely disconnected from the athlete in front of you.

The SCRIPT framework fixes this by teaching coaches how to give AI the context it actually needs: the athlete's history, goals, equipment, schedule, and constraints. When you do that, AI stops producing generic programs and starts producing first drafts you can actually use.

TrainScript is the packaged version of what I built for myself — the prompts, the framework, the templates — refined through feedback from hundreds of coaches across every coaching context: strength, CrossFit, online coaching, sport-specific training, and nutrition.

The goal was never to replace coaching judgment. It's to eliminate the hours coaches spend on work that doesn't require judgment — so they can spend that time on the work that does.
